Rafael has a history of outstanding performances. A few are captured here:
This May 2004 debut album by The Kol Haruach Klezmer Band, Rafael Javadov (Director and Arranger), entitled "In the Beginning..." is a compilation of standards and brand new works written and
arranged by the band.
The band plays three distinct musical styles. The Klezmer or
party style is typically played at weddings and Bar Mitzvahs. The
concert performance style is arranged for performance on the stage. The
Jazz style brings the band back to its
roots, where both Klezmer and Jazz are played spontaneously and by ear....
This release primarily consists of concert performance style songs.
It begins and ends, however, with tunes often requested at parties and
private affairs where the purpose of the music is to create a festive
atmosphere and the band is there to make the party and get everybody up
and dancing.
...brilliant, full of energy, enthusiasm, life, verve; virtuoso performances...
It's fun, terrific music, with an improv feeling to it all. I'd
love to have this group play at my celebrations!"
